The aim of the article is to present the high-capacity reliable broadband networking ecosystem available in the Eastern Partnership (EaP) region (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine). The ecosystem provides a unique opportunity to students, educators and researchers from EaP to have access to advanced and sustainable, networking, data and computing infrastructure, and services. The ecosystem, which has been built on top of the high-capacity network, fostering to tackle societal and scientific challenges in the region and beyond. Thanks to the EaPConnect (Eastern Partnership Connectivity) Project, nowadays the researchers may share large-scale datasets generated in the region with their European counterparts using the regional EaPConnect Network as part of pan-European high-speed Geant network. In the meantime, the end-users have access to the global resources, such as the Geant cloud services, which consumes the cloud in a safe, easy and predictable way. The low-latency networking facilities bring new types of services in the region, such as the Lola (Low Latency) service enabling real-time musical collaboration across Europe.
