18 - Making community data work for the community

Nathalie McKenzie

Easily retrievable, well presented data can support decision making. As a result of various GN project initiatives, GÉANT hold lots of information on behalf of the NREN community – for both NRENs themselves and the public. This data can support service development strategy, funding lobbying, and marketing and promotion. BUT are we hitting the mark when it comes to accessibility of this data? Is it easily retrievable and presented in such a way that supports your work? As part of GN4-2 we’re working on enhancing, consolidating and visualising the data that we’ve got – offering different people the right view for them. This lightening talk will give you an idea of what we’ve done so far so you can tell us if it meets your needs. Without input from you we cannot hope to make the data work for you!
